Hannah & Luke

Manchester Documentary Wedding Photographer |  A beautiful summer morning wedding in the city centre of Manchester.

Hannah & Luke wanted their small but authentic wedding capturing in a candid, documentary style so they could look back on their photos and remember the feeling of the moment, not just a posed, pretty picture.

Manchester Registry Office

Manchester Register Office is a popular choice for smaller city centre weddings. The ceremonies are quick yet meaningful, giving the couple and their guests more time to enjoy the fun celebrations of a wedding. This couple still found a way of making this ceremony, fun and loving, especially with their unique bubble 'confetti' throw . My photography approach, here, was to go unnoticed and capture the real emotions and moments as they unfold. My signature editing style gives a nostalgic and romantic warmth to, even, the rooms that may not always seem the most aesthetic, upon first glance.

Library Walk

The Manchester Central Library walks is perfect for the most romantic, motion blur couples photos, without the other guests. Its a perfect location to create intimacy between the couple and a chance to relax in front of my camera, have fun with some natural, fun poses, away from the rest of the guests.

The Freemount

The Freemount in The Northern Quarter was a unique, authentic and sentimental location for the reception of Hannah & Luke. This is where there was lots of lively flash and candid photography capturing the guests and couple, in their most relaxed state. The pressures of the ceremony are over, drinks are flowing and the party begins, late into the night.

35mm Film

It made perfect sense for this couple to include the 35mm film roll as a nostalgic add-on, to have real vintage film photographs taken on my 1970's Canon AE-1
